Lengthsman required in Inskip

Inskip with Sowerby Parish Council are sad to lose the services of our lengthsman, Andrew Maxfield.

Andy has been a wonderful asset to the village for many years, keeping the grass verges clean and tidy and a million other jobs he didn’t even tell us he was doing until we noticed how smart everywhere looked.  His commitment was remarkable, always beyond expectations and at the same time taking on outrageous fundraising challenges for charity.   He will be sorely missed and very difficult to replace.

But replace him we must.

We have a vacancy for a lengthsman.  If you are interested in this position, please apply in writing (email preferred) to Sue Gilbert, Clerk to Parish Council, pc@inskip-with-sowerby.uk .   Main duties will include mowing/strimming grass verges in the Inskip/Sowerby/Crossmoor areas.  Rates of pay are generous and hours to suit, which will be approximately 16 hours per month in summer and 12 hours per month in winter.  Full details on application.
