Notice of Closure of Woods Lane 13th March 2023 – 12th May 2023

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WOODS LANE, INSKIP WITH SOWERBY, WYRE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Woods Lane, Inskip with Sowerby from its junction with Lewth Lane to Stavens Pool Bridge.

2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.

3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0800 hours until 1600 hours on Monday 13th March 2023 until Friday 12th May 2023 or until completion of the works within this period.

4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: Sowerby Road – Pinfold Lane – Preston Road – Mill Lane – Carrs Green – Woods Lane and vice versa The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow drainage works to be carried out by LCC Highways.
