In the interests of road safety/address excessive speeding and in response to local survey results recently obtained, Inskip with Sowerby Parish Council have decided to purchase three (3) Speed Indicator Devices to be positioned in various locations in the village. With the help and guidance of the Road Safety Officer for Lancashire County Council these devices will be positioned as follows:
- Mill Lane, near Dead Damn Bridge
- Preston Road, approaching Baptist Chapel Church
- Preston Road, near the entrance to Wheatfields Road
Should any resident have a just cause to object to any of the above locations, please contact (by email) the clerk to the parish council before 30th September, 2026 giving reasons in full. Contact pc@inskip-with-sowerby.uk
Please be aware that these devices record speed and NOT vehicle registration numbers.
