Notice of vacancy in the office of
Councillor for
Inskip-with-Sowerby Parish Council

I must give notice, under Section 87(2)(b) of the Local Government Act 1972,
that a vacancy exists in the office of Parish Councillor for Inskip-with-Sowerby
Parish Council.

The vacancy has arisen due to the resignation of Carol Berry.

For a by-election to be held to fill the vacancy, a request by TEN registered local
government electors in Inskip-with-Sowerby Parish Council must be made
within 14 days of this notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays)
to:
Rebecca Huddleston, Wyre Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road,
Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU.
On receipt of a valid request, the Returning Officer will set the date of an
election to be held within 60 days of this notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays
and bank holidays), in accordance with Rule 5 of the Local Elections
(Communities) (Wales) Rules 2021.
If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will co-opt a person to fill the
vacancy as soon as practicable.
The persons elected or co-opted to fill the vacancies will hold office until
the fourth day after the ordinary election of parish councillors in May 2027.
