Mr Brian Dearnaley reported that the gate on FP11 is not installed– awaiting response from LCC – clerk to chase.
- Wyre in Bloom
Inskip received Silver in this year’s awards. Well done to all involved.
- Neighbourhood Plan
5.1 A meeting was held on 13th November where councilors elected to compile a questionnaire which will be hand delivered to each property in the village with the help from our working party.
5.2 It was decided that the first meeting with the working party will be on 8th January, 2026.
5.3 Discussion took place between Councillors on the merits of following the outline that Barton Village had adopted in the making of their Neighbourhood Plan and agreed to try to get further information from them before the final completion of the survey due to be circulated in January.

7.Highways
7.1 LCC have advised of a road closure on Pinfold Lane that will be in operation on 27th and 28th January.
7.2 LCC have installed three gates/kissing gates on footpath 10
7.3 Cllr Salter (LCC) met with Cllr James to “walk” the pavements of the village and complete an inspection report for LCC. Trip hazards and curb drops were identified.
8.Planning
8.1 Application Number: 25/00931/FUL Proposal: Proposed creation of stable block and sand paddock. Location: Green Nook Farm Carrs Green Inskip-with-Sowerby Preston
8.2 The owners of the barn at Pad End Farm subject to planning refusal has re-applied for planning permission on a smaller scale which has been approved.
9.Carrs Green
9.1 Cllr Danby and Cllr Carter had a meeting with Lancashire Wildlife Trust whose main interest in the common was crested newts. Although there are some newts present there is little the trust could do to help improve the common although she advised that dogs should not be allowed in the ponds and wherever possible the bulrushes should be removed.
9.2 Fylde Bird Club had a meeting on the common and described the common as “the jewel in the crown” as so many different species of bird were spotted.
9.3 Passing places on the track leading to the new builds have been created by the builder, with full permission from parish council
10.Defib check
10.1 All OK except the unit from the Derby Arms which has been handed to the clerk. The casing needs to be retrieved and relocated.
10.2 The Baptist Church cabinet needs rewiring, Cllr Carter to speak to Carl Bass.
11. AOB
11.1 A resident has sent in a complaint that dogs are being exercised in the churchyard and are leaving dog dirt on and around the headstones. Cllr Faria will liaise with church wardens to try to find a solution.
11.2 Clerk to request Kevin Morris to refurbish the benches outside YIPs with a view to a regular maintenance contract. Clerk to arrange.
