1. Open Forum
1.1 A resident attended to report that a person is exercising his dog on the croft at the church off the lead. The dog is being aggressive to his own dog beyond the fence which is causing upset in his household. PC advised to contact officials at the church to request signs be erected and/or contact the local PCSO for more information how to control this.
1.2 A resident has raised the issue of vehicles, particularly large articulated lorries, speeding through the village and has asked that some form of speed reminders are posted particularly in the stretch between the church and the school. Council discussed the issue and advised that there is not much that can be done at PC level, clerk to write to DPS again to ask for reminders to be sent to lorry drivers. Cllr Berry suggested that we await the outcome of Catforth’s traffic calming methods currently in discussion and take lessons from that. Council advised to report on the portal as the more people reporting the more impact will be made – the link is Speed Concern Submission – Lancashire Road Safety Partnership

It was agreed that clerk to write to Wyre asking for scheduling of cutting (mulching) in play areas and perhaps asking the lengthsmen to also attend in between dates.
4.3 Mrs Nash also reported that the play area in front of YIPs is used by dog walkers and asked whether or not Wyre Council could designate this as a No Dog Area. Clerk to write to Wyre Council
