An update on Housing Developments at Inskip

We told residents in our last Newsletter about the planning application by De Pol Associates on behalf of Metacre Ltd. to develop 55 dwellings north and south of Preston Road in Inskip (adjacent to the current building site south of the road and taking the field north of the road between West Drive, North Drive, and Pinfold Lane).
The Parish Council feel that this scale of development would fundamentally change the rural character of the Inskip community – and if this latest planning application is successful then there is a very real risk that Metacre, who own a significant amount of agricultural land directly abutting the village, might well put forward in the near future even more land for development here at Inskip. So this application may well be the “thin end of the wedge”.

This planning application will come up before the Wyre Planning Committee for decision at their next meeting starting 2pm on Wednesday 5th October 2016.

Unfortunately this is very short notice.

The Parish Council urges interested residents who wish to express their concerns to the Planning Committee to attend the meeting in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-Le-Fylde, Lancashire, FY6 7PU

For details on the workings of the Planning Committee, and how to register to speak, please contact the Parish Clerk on 07933 485 962 or email pc@inskip-with-sowerby.uk
